Can't switch between applications as easily after Windows Update.

Hi, after a new windows update (Windows 7, 64-bit SP1) I have noticed that Alt+Tab no longer works, and I can no longer click on an application in the taskbar to instantly switch focus to it.
What gives? More information can be provided if required.

For now I am going to reboot into safe mode and see if it persists.
