Computer disconnecting from my home WI FI and trying to connect to BT withfon etc

Hi has anyone else had and fixed a problem with the computer disconnecting from home wifi and trying to connect to BT withfon etc? Internet providers suggested it was something to do with the Microsoft software for connecting to wifi on my computer.
