Hello,
 
I have a cell linked to a drop down list of categories (through Data Validation) - Is it possible to have Excel display a different drop down list in a different cell based on what was selected from the first drop down? I have main categories, and subcategories
for each main category.
 
Example:
When I select Cell B2, the arrow displays a list of categories.
I select "Direct Labor" from this list.
In Cell C2, I would like to see only the subcategories related to "Direct Labor"
 
In the next record, I select "Equipment" from Cell B3
In cell C3 I would like to see only the subcategories related to "Equipment"
 
Is this possible to do in Excel WITHOUT programming? Is there a formula I can use to set this up?
 
I have saved lists, which have been named, on a separate spreadsheet than the main data.
There is only one list of categories, but the subcategories are multiple lists indicating only the subcategories associated with a specific category.
