Hello just got a new 2TB harddrive to install on my OS7x64, 1TB PC but IK feel insecure as to intallation should I do anything to prepare? If so please be consice.

Yes, there are quite a few, in fact.
Make sure you have everything that you need besides the actual hdd, such as the sata cable, power connector converter should your power supply not support sata drives.
Hopefully you did check to make sure you have a free
(empty) sata connector on the motherboard.

Also, one may cost you a few $ but I strongly suggest in the use of an anti-static strap.
Wear it from the time you open the case and until you close it backup when the job is finished.
Touching the wrong component or even just getting too close to something
inside can cause a static spark if you're not properly grounded.
Also, when attaching connectors, don't force them.
Most only mate one way so you may have to make sure they're lining up properly.
Instructions for installing a new hdd actually sound more difficult than what the job actually is and it sounds as you're well prepared.

In this method we will try to Boot in Safe mode with Networking and see if the error still persists.

• Search "MSCONFIG" and Open.
• Click on Boot Tab
• Tick Safe Boot in Boot Option
• Select Network.
• Click Apply and OK.
• Reboot your System.
